Kala was born on Maui surrounded by the warmth of five generations of her Hawaiian 'Ohana. Her husband, Kana, was born on the mainland, but came to Maui because his heart was born here? He is embraced by the aloha from Kala's 'Ohana & has found his true home on Maui.

After their marriage, they began their family-owned company with the objective of providing Hawaiian jewels of the sea and land to people of all ages from all around the world.
